Atlantic Heritage Luxury Villa

Atlantic Heritage

Where the Atlantic meets ancient vineyards

A Villa Between Volcano and Sea

Set within the UNESCO-protected vineyard landscape of Criação Velha, Atlantic Heritage is a contemporary luxury villa on Pico Island — built from local basalt stone, open to panoramic Atlantic views, and designed for the kind of stillness that only remote islands offer. Four en-suite bedrooms. A heated infinity pool facing the sunset. An indoor jacuzzi for cooler evenings. Three hundred square metres of considered living space, where every window frames either ocean, mountain, or vine.

Where the View Never Ends

From our heated infinity pool, the Atlantic channel stretches between Pico and Faial Island, framed by UNESCO World Heritage vineyards on every side. The terrace faces due west — built for long evenings, slow mornings, and the kind of quiet that only comes from having the whole horizon to yourself.

The Setting

Criação Velha is one of the oldest villages on Pico Island, where centuries-old basalt walls protect the vines that earned this landscape its UNESCO World Heritage status. The villa sits at the edge of these vineyards, facing west toward Faial Island and the open Atlantic. Madalena — with its harbour, restaurants, and ferry to Faial — is a short drive away. But most evenings, you won't want to leave the terrace.

Rooted in the Island

Pico's identity was forged by volcanic stone, Atlantic storms, and generations who learned to cultivate wine in one of the most unlikely landscapes on earth. The vineyard walls you see from the villa are not decoration — they are living history, still tended by local families. We bring this heritage into your stay: breakfasts prepared with ingredients from Pico's farms and dairies, and a personal assistant who knows the island's best-kept places.
